Frequently Asked Questions

For all questions regarding our cancellation/refund, liquor/tobacco/THC, or Covid policies visit our Policies Page.

My cruise is booked, what should I expect next?

You will receive a confirmation email from Sea Suite Cruises and a waiver link from thankyou@getwherewolf.com. Please have the whole party complete the waiver prior to arrival to ensure your party is able to use the entire time slotted for your booking for cruising.

For Whitlow’s on Water, the confirmation email will come from Whitlow’s on Water but the waiver link will still be a separate email from thankyou@getwherewolf.com. For boarding, we require all passengers to present a valid, physical, government-issued ID. Pictures of ID’s will not be accepted.

I can’t find my waiver, what should I do?

To find the link to your party’s waiver, please search thankyou@getwherewolf.com in the email of the person who booked your cruise.

If you are still unable to find this link, please Contact Us.

What if I forget to sign the online waiver?

We ask you to fill out the waiver prior to arriving, or on your phone upon arrival if you forgot. We will not leave the dock until all waivers are signed.

Is there a min or max group size for private cruises?

Minimum and maximum group sizes vary based on the type of boat you choose. Find a cruise and review group size in the cruise details before booking.

Not sure how many passengers your private cruise booking will have? Book for the minimum number of passengers and add or remove additional people at any time leading up to your ride!

It’s okay to have less than the minimum number of people, but the price point starts at the minimum.

How do I add more passengers to an existing booking?

If you were not sure how many passengers your private cruise booking was going to have, and you booked for the minimum number of passengers, you are able to add more passengers up to maximum cruise capacity by calling us at your cruise location’s phone numbers listed below

We kindly ask that prior to calling us, have your cruise numbers finalized. We are able to add and remove additional passengers at any time leading up to your ride, but recommend calling us with final numbers 24 hours in advance to ensure that the time allotted for your cruise is used on just that, cruising!

Give Us a Call:

Find your booked private cruise to review the passenger minimum and maximum capacity. We have a strict passenger capacity limit and will not be able to add more passengers than that cruise allows.

How long does a cruise take?

Cruise durations range from 90-120 minutes. Find a cruise and review the cruise details before booking.

If you would like to extend the cruise time limit, Contact Us. This will depend on availability and scheduled launch times of the boat.

Are there bathrooms or bathroom breaks?

Some Paddle Boat and Tiki Boat cruises have bathrooms on board while others make a mid-trip pitstop for a bathroom break.

Retro Boat Rentals in DC and Richmond are self-driven so they do not have bathrooms or pit-stops.

Find a cruise and review the cruise details before booking.

Are all of your tours BYOB? (Bring Your Own Beer/Beverages)

Find a cruise and review the food and drink policies before booking.

Some cruises are now stocked with alcohol for purchase on board, and thus will no longer be BYOB. The one exception to this is for wine and champagne. For an uncorking fee of $8/bottle, passengers are welcome to bring their own wine and champagne.

Other cruises are BYOB and no uncorking fee will be applied (beer and wine only though, no liquor—sorry!)

Whitlow’s on Water in DC differs from this policy. It is regulated the same as a bar, so all refreshments and alcohol are purchased onboard – no outside drinks are permitted on board.

Are all of your tours BYOF? (Bring Your Own Food)

Most cruises are BYOF so passengers are welcome to bring their own food to enjoy during their cruise! If you choose to BYOF, purchase light snacks, or get catering, plates and utensils will be the customer’s responsibility as our cruises do not provide these items.

Some cruises offer light snacks for sale on board.

Whitlow’s on Water is the only cruise that offers catering options exclusively for Private Charters. To order catering, please email us at support@seasuitecruises.com with your cruise details along with the items you wish to purchase off of our catering menus.

Find a cruise and review the food and drink policies before booking.

Do you provide coolers?

All of our Paddle Boat and Tiki Boat cruises that offer the option to BYOB have coolers with ice to keep drinks fresh and cold.

Is there music during the cruise?

Our boats are equipped with Bluetooth speakers so you can connect and play your favorite tunes on all private cruises!

On individually ticketed public cruises, preset playlists will be played and guests will not be able to connect to their own music.

Prefer to dance instead of DJ? No worries, our crew has playlists ready to go!

Are there any age restrictions?

As much as we wish we could welcome passengers of all ages, due to safety regulations, we have a strict minimum age requirement of 5 years of age.

You must be 21 years of age to enjoy libations.

Passengers 12 years of age and younger must wear a life jacket at all times. We have 2 USCG approved child life jackets (for children 50-90lbs) the total number of children’s life jackets on each boat is dependent upon the boat’s total capacity. If you are planning on bringing children please contact us to ensure we have enough life jackets for use. Legal guardians will be required to provide life jackets for each additional child in parties with more children than available life jackets.

In addition, we have one life jacket per boat equipped for children less than 50 lbs. If you have more than one child weighing less than 50 lbs, you will have to provide your own life jacket suited for someone of their size. If you have any questions, please Contact Us.

Whitlow’s on Water in DC differs from this policy — passengers for Shared Cruises and  Private Charters must be at least 21 years of age, but for Sightseeing Tours, the minimum of 5 years of age policy stands.

What if it’s raining?

Most of our boats have a  canopy that covers the majority of the boat, so we operate rain or shine*. We will only cancel if conditions become dangerous, e.g. high winds, severe thunderstorms, or any other effect from such weather that would jeopardize safety.

For Whitlow’s on Water DC, the boat is fully covered and we have isinglass panels that can fully enclose the boat, so it is very rare that we have to reschedule for weather events but it can happen. Generally, this boat allows for greatest protection against wind, rain, or cold.

Reservations canceled due to weather will not be refunded unless trip protection is added to the reservation, but a raincheck will be given for another date.

Unfortunately, we haven’t yet figured out how to control the weather so this is the one variable that is out of our control, and we have to simply react to what the radar and our eyes are telling us. The radar changes constantly (you may have noticed that weather reporters are often wrong), so we have to make the safest decision for all passengers even if it changes right before the cruise is set to take place.

*Note: The only exception to this policy is for Retro Boat Rentals, as there is no canopy. Reservations for this cruise type will be canceled and a raincheck will be given for another date. You will receive a refund for inclement weather only, and is determined by Retro Boat Rentals. We recognize it’s no fun to be on a boat in the rain. If it’s just cool or cloudy, we recommend sweatshirts or blankets, it’s still an enjoyable experience. There are no refunds for cancellations that are not due to rain, but we are willing to work with you to re-book an appointment or provide a gift certificate for your next outing. There are NO REFUNDS for no shows, or for cancelling for reasons other than weather.

What are the safety requirements?

  • Because we have gasoline on board, we cannot have ANYTHING with fire including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, other smoking products, birthday candles, sparklers, etc.
  • Passengers are not permitted to stand on the furnished areas at the front of the boat nor sit atop the railings as this increases chances of falling overboard. We know everyone loves standing on elevated surfaces when having a few drinks, but unfortunately the Coast Guard doesn’t feel the same way.
  • There will be zero tolerance (and $1000 fine) for jumping off the boat. In addition to the fine, you will also be promptly returned to the dock and no refund will be provided for your group.
  • If you have any further questions, please Contact Us.

What vessels are ADA accessible?

Unfortunately, some of our vessels are not ADA accessible due to the fixed height of the dock and varying nature of the tides.

Vessels at the following locations have a floating dock, therefore, the deck of the boat stays even with the dock: Rocketts Landing (Richmond), The Wharf (DC), Navy Yard (DC), and Inner Harbor (Baltimore). Please Contact Us for more details around ADA accessibility at these locations.

Are pets allowed on the boats?

While we do welcome party animals, for our passengers’ health and for your pet’s safety, we are not permitted to host pets on board.

If you have questions that weren’t answered above, feel free to Contact Us!
