The boat was nice and the captain and assistant were nice, but the overall cruise was kind of boring. There is no information shared by the crew and you travel past a lot of trees. There is one nice view of downtown, but otherwise there isn’t much to see so if you don’t entertain yourself there isn’t much to the ride.

The crew was very accommodating. Kimberly was very nice. The captain help us get our things on the boat and it was a very rainy day. We were soaked, but they were very calm and had a very positive attitude the whole time.

We booked a private tiki boat river cruise for a work outing and had an amazing time. The crew was fantastic, and the whole experience was relaxing and fun. Our group thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d highly recommend it for both personal and corporate events!

What a lovely river cruise. Being out of state it was nice to view the city skyline from a different view. The boat was not crowded and we had a very relaxing and interesting time. The staff was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Sit back and enjoy!

Booked a cruise for my husband's birthday! We enjoyed our time and the crew was awesome! All safety precautions taken and procedures followed to the letter. Very safe and enjoyable for the whole family. Definitely recommend this experience!!

Team trip, there were 8 of us and we had a wonderful time. The icebox in the center of the table was a great surprise, too - kept our drinks cold! And even on a hot day, the shade from the roof was just enough. Great experience.

Went on the Cruise today May 24th. Was a wonderful experience. Crew were very nice, helpful to make our experience special. Colby took pictures for us ,which was nice and answered any questions we had. Was very enjoyable, relaxing and a lovely way to spend some time on the water. Boat was very nice and comfortable.

My girlfriends and I took a Sea Suite Cruise from Rocketts Landing Sunday afternoon, September 7. It was a thank you to my girlfriends who cooked for me and cared for me after my surgery a couple months ago. The day was cloudy, a little cool and drizzly, but the weather did not dampen our spirits. After we pulled out the rain let up and the experience was the best. Nick, the captain and Kimberly his mate couldn’t have been nicer and made the trip even better. Everyone enjoyed themselves and a good time was had by all. I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone wanting to get together with their friends and family.

Girls’ Day was a success! This was our second cruise with Sea Suites and once again they did not disappoint. The staff were so attentive and helpful. We had the best time and look forward to our next cruise.

We had a reservation as my daughter is visiting from Illinois. We showed up and a storm was rolling in, we decided to go ahead and take the boat out. We started out heading up river and a huge lightning bolt struck up river. We turned around a headed straight back to the docks. Their people are so friendly, welcoming and understanding. I was told they would refund me and the next day it was in my account. I would highly recommend as it’s a great boating experience and they are beyond fair.

LOVED IT!!! Captain Hartwell and deckhand Aidan were very professional and wonderful. Timmy, Jazmine and staff prior to trip were informative and on hand to answer any questions. Despite the weather the surprise party was still on and a success. The last 35 minutes we were allowed to stay on boat at the dock since it was raining. I will definitely do it again and recommend for others to experience the Sea Suite Cruise RVA.

2026 update: I celebrated my birthday with Sea Suite Cruises in 2025 and again this year. What a joy! All of my party guests had a fabulous time. This year the weather was sunny the entire time and the ride was smooth. I might just make this a birthday tradition! 🥳🎉

It was my sister birthday. We had a blast! The staff was very nice. You play your own music off Bluetooth and you can bring alcohol. We all said we must do it again! I feel like it’s a little pricey but it was so much fun. Bring the right party people with you. We paid about $60 per person fyi. Overall it was a nice experience!

We had an amazing time on the tiki boat! It was hands down one of the best work events we’ve ever done. The vibe was fun, laid-back, and perfect for getting to know our accounts. Everyone absolutely loved it! The crew was incredible — so friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone was having a blast. Thank you Thorton for the top notch hospitality. From start to finish, everything was seamless and so much fun. We’re still talking about it and already looking forward to the next time. Highly, highly recommend!

Excellent time. Our captain & deckhand were quite amazing. The ride was enjoyable, especially the different perspective of Richmond. Thank you for an extremely clean boat & a wonderful time. I really enjoyed the BYOB feature.

OMG!!! Where must I start!!! First I would Love to shout Chelsea and our Capt. Please forgive me but I forgot his name. They were both simply awesome. Half of our group got stuck in Richmond traffic due to an really bad accident, delaying them by some 20 minutes or more. That particular part of the group had our 74 year old Birthday Girl in tow. Yes!! The one this celebration was for. Well needless to say, our Capt. and Chelsea allow us to enjoy our full booked trip once the rest of our group arrived. This is definitely A 1 type business. Please allow these Beautiful group of people to host whatever celebration you are planning with a wonderful cruise with then. Richmond Corporate Event Cruises
Our Paddle Boat and Tiki Boat cruises are BYOB so you have the flexibility to sip and set sail with your drink(s) of choice! You and your team are empowered to drink whatever beer, wine, seltzer, or canned cocktail (such as High Noons) you fancy. The one exception to this is that we do not allow bottles of hard liquor (I know – we wish we could but unfortunately we can’t, sorry!).
You’re also welcome to bring your own food (BYOF) to enjoy on your cruise! We’ve had everything from small snacks to full spreads.

Rocketts Landing Corporate Cruises
Our route begins on the dock at Rocketts Landing right beneath The Boathouse restaurant. We cruise Northbound towards the city while passengers enjoy the ambiance of nearby bike trails, recreational boaters, paddlers, and stunning views of the Richmond skyline. We then turn around and cruise south past the marina, restaurants, and upscale new apartments to escape into a quieter, foliage lined stretch of the river. After a getaway in nature on your own private, floating bar, we return to the docks at Rocketts Landing.
